43rd Annual Girls Oxnard Rotary Basketball Tournament

February 18-20th (President’s Day weekend)

64th Annual Oxnard Rotary Basketball Tournament

Begins Saturday, March 3 and ends on Sunday, March 18, 2012

We are excited to be sharing this great ongoing tradition in the City of Oxnard. Every year the community and Oxnard Rotary come together in the name of playing basketball. Yet we know it represents so much more.

The basketball tournament allows us to engage our youth and provide a forum that celebrates good sportsmanship; we can help our youth see the importance of what it depicts. That is being fair and generous, winning and losing with grace. These are characteristics that will help our children as they work through school and then into their adulthood. They also learn that together hard work results in success and reward and that physical activity helps them grow stronger and learn better.

The Rotary Club of Oxnard believes that the balance of support of family and community is essential to the well being of our youth. Many individuals come together to help produce this worthwhile event, including the coaches, parents, students, Oxnard Rotarians, local businesses and the team at the City of Oxnard Recreation Department.

For more information on scheduling and location of the games, please go to the City of Oxnard Recreation Department’s website at www.OxnardRec.org and click on Recreation and Community Services; log onto the Community Bulletin.

This tournament would not be possible without the support of our sponsors. If you’d like to become a sponsor, download our sponsor form, or contact John Kearney for more information.
